I’m Kelly
I founded Kelly K Travel in 2017 as a resource for travelers who share my passion for discovering beautiful places and creating meaningful memories. What began as a personal calling quickly evolved into a thriving business built on trust, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to service.
From journalist to journey-maker
I turned my passion for storytelling into unforgettable luxury travel experiences.
Before launching my travel agency, I spent years as a TV news anchor and reporter — a career that really shaped how I see the world. It taught me how to tell a story, stay curious, and pay attention to the details that make something feel meaningful.
I bring that same perspective to my work as a travel advisor today. Every trip I plan is thoughtfully designed around how my clients like to travel, with a strong sense of place and flow throughout.
That journalism background still shows up in how I work — I think a lot about pacing, the balance between activity and downtime, and how each piece of a trip fits together. My clients come back not just for the access and recommendations, but for the care and intention behind every itinerary.
I live on the North Shore of Chicago with my husband and three young kids. When I’m not curating trips around the globe, you’ll find me at home — likely chasing my kids, matcha in hand, sneaking in a game of paddle or mahjong, or getting lost in a good book.
